HERMIPPUS CALLIMACHAEUS (fl. 200 BC)

Life
Hermippus was a student of Callimachus and a Peripatetic philosopher. He lived in Alexandria and is cited by Plutarch, Diogenes Laertius, Athenaeus and Stobaeus. The Catalogus Vaticanus lists him as a "writer on astronomy".
